–> That the island is and always has been underwater. They say that this is why the submarine is necessary to get there (I had always wondered why they specifically had to be drugged when travelling on it, other than knowing the general location of the island, I know I wouldn’t be able to remember ‘keep going left from Hawaii and youll get there’ general direction). They also say that originally the plane landed in the water anyway (this isn’t the Widmore fake), but I don’t remember anyone saying that the plane landed in the water. This would have to be before Ben Linus and the others looked up to see the plane separate in the ‘sky’. They say this is why it isn’t on any maps and etc. However, Jack and the other helicopter Losties landed in the water and actively floated on top of it before finding a boat and then going to land. They say this explains having the ringing ears, as they could be adjusting to moving underwater, when they move through time. Also, Desmond got there after a storm and the next thing we see is him just waking up on the beach. It likens the island to Atlantis.

–> The island was moved through time, and the houses, statue and etc. just sank into the ocean, like someone pulling a tablecloth out from under plates very quickly. I like this one too, relatively logical. Except the issue that the island has moved through time many times and this hasn’t happened. Still like it. Something else that I wondered as well, was why wouldn’t the barracks or other parts of the island be more destroyed if a nuke was detonated on the island. I’m going to ignore the logistics of how the island would end up underwater until we have a lot more answers.

I have another question, I was reminded of a line from the episode where Locke has James kill Anthony Cooper in the Black Rock. Ben says ‘YOU brought him here’.
